We are offering a unique opportunity for a climate-conscious Social Media Content Creator to join our team as an intern at UK Zero, the app on a mission to bring energy data to everyone.
As a Social Media Content Creator, your main responsibilities will be to develop content for TikTok, build our X (Twitter) audience by engaging with the climate community, and adapt high-performing content for Instagram and LinkedIn.

We are UK Zero, the only app building a climate positive community by allowing you to track the UK Energy Status in real-time and view the history of progress towards going fully clean.
The Social Media Content Creator role:
We are looking for someone who wants first-hand social media content creation experience. You’ll be the founding team’s right-hand person by working on building our audience and acquiring more downloads.
This is an unpaid internship that would require about 10 hours max of work a week. We want to provide you with the experience you need to take the next step in your career, so this is a great opportunity for anyone who has recently graduated and wants some additional experience right now.

Responsibilities:
🎥 Engage & Create videos for TikTok to grow awareness of UK Zero and build our audience.
👍 Grow our X (Twitter) community by resharing climate-positive stories and engaging with climate influencers.
🔁 Adapt high-performing TikTok and X (Twitter) content for Instagram and LinkedIn.
📆 Develop content calendars to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content.
Objectives:
🏆 Increase engagement across our social channels to gain more followers and drive app downloads.
🙌 Establish the UK Zero as the go-to source for energy data in the UK.
What we need to see:
📚 Willingness to learn - we don't care how much experience you have. But we do want to see that you're passionate and want to have an impact.
📣 An interest in learning about social media.
🏃♂️ You're a fast learner who likes to try new things and see how they work.

💸 As we’re pre-funding, this is currently an unpaid role with the potential to become a salaried position in the future. We are raising funds and seeking grants.
